Philip Gorrivan for Duralee/Highland Court We are very flattered by the warm reception the new line of luxury fabrics has received. The response from the design community and customers alike has exceeded all expectations. Reflecting Philip's signature style, the five book set of woven modern designs incorporates a touch of the past and a punch of color. Kips Bay At this year's prestigious Kips Bay Show House, Philip Gorrivan Design was invited to furnish a master bedroom suite. The room featured an Extenzo stretched vinyl ceiling that closely resembled lacquer and was the talk of the show house. Additionally, the room was outfitted with Nanz hardware, Fanuka millwork and many of Philip's custom designs and Highland Court fabrics. Philip in Real Simple The September issue of Real Simple featured the room Philip designed for the fourth annual Design on a Dime. The room blended Philip's love of texture, color and plants into a soothing contemporary oasis. In the article, Philip divulges some of the secrets that make his interiors so unique and memorable. House Beautiful Philip presented his new fabric line during a House Beautiful event held at the San Francisco Design Center on September 10th. Co-presented with the Color Institute, the event spotlighted color in design making Philip's expertise in color a natural fit. Architectural Digest/Creative Inspiration Meets Capitol Instincts On October 15th Philip spoke at an Architectural Digest event held at the Duralee showroom in New York City. Philip's speech demonstrated how he navigates the matrix of creativity and business and translates it into a thriving interior design business. His discussion also included how his extensive travels and myriad interests influence his design. Williams Sonoma Home Store Opening On October 14th, Philip co-hosted the opening party for the Williams Sonoma Home store at Columbus Home. The party brought together many stars of the design world to fete the line's New York debut. The store showcases the entire Williams Sonoma Home line as well as special items exclusive to the store. Montauk- Oceans 3 Traditional Home invited Philip Gorrivan Design and two other designers to each completely design the interior of a house at the Panoramic View Residences in Montauk, New York. Against the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, Philip worked closely with a design student “Protégé” to create a beach house with his signature charm and beauty.
